Sometimes we have to wait.

Many of us, when we pray, we want God to immediately answer our prayers. But the Bible says in James 1:3 “for you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.” Could it be the reason why sometimes God does not answer our prayers immediately is because He wants to do something in us? And of course, it is always for our own good.

This is the reason why we must patiently wait if the answers to our prayers sometimes are taking long to manifest in the physical realm. And while we are waiting, we must meditate on His Word in Philippians 4:4 that says, “rejoice in the Lord always.” We wait not with a heavy heart but with expectation knowing that He only has good plans for us.

If you are waiting for a promotion in your job, while waiting, learn more until you become better at what you have been doing. Continue to be humble and submitted to your superior and nice with your office-mates. You do not quit just because you have been waiting for that promotion for a couple of years now. Who knows, God has a bigger opportunity for you and you need to learn skills while you stay in your current job so that you could perform that new opportunity well! God does not set up His children for failure.

If you have been praying for a girlfriend or boyfriend for quite some time now and he or she isn’t knocking at your door yet, be assured that God is preparing your dream girl or dream boy for you. You might say, but I am ready for a relationship. Yes, you can say that, but how about your future girlfriend or boyfriend? Is she or he ready for a relationship? God loves you so much and He wants to be sure that you are going to end up with someone who is God-fearing and someone who will make you happy and not to make you cry. I believe that is worth the wait.

Whatever it is that you are praying and believing for that you have been waiting for answers for a long time already, relax. Be still and know that He is God. He knows what is best for us. He is our Daddy and He wants to give us all our heart’s desires – the things according to His will.
