When we have the revelation of the love of God, everything changes!

Many of us understand the love of God and how He made it evident when He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die a sinner’s death in exchange for our salvation. But this understanding, for some, is just head knowledge – either because we keep on hearing our pastors preach it in church services or by reading the Bible. And we believe it!

But then for many of us, our lives have not changed. We are still the same person bound in chains of our old thinking and ways. We still live in defeat and restlessness! When Jesus purchased us by His Blood when He died on the cross, we do not own ourselves anymore for we are already His! And we receive His forgiveness by accepting Him as our Lord and Saviour and believing in everything that He did for us. The key to enjoying the love of God is to surrender our everything to Him – everything!

We always have to remind ourselves of this choice of surrendering everything to Him every day when we wake up in the morning. Just tell Him aloud, “Lord, I surrender my day to You.” When we start our day by that confession, things around us change – everything changes! Not that our day is going to be free from problems but since we chose to surrender everything to Him and trust Him, we have that confidence that we are not alone – the Creator of heaven and earth, the King of Kings and the Lord of lords is with us and that we have already offered to Him our day, including its challenges and victories!

Being in full surrender to Him allows God to work in us and through us. By surrendering to Him, we tell Him that we completely trust Him – in our relationships, business, work, ministry, health, finances, and in everything! We place ourselves in a position where we rest and just receive from Him. This is when the revelation of the love of God comes to us.
